The Symptoms
The owner of a 2011 Mazda 3 came to us after experiencing ongoing brake issues. Our Diagnostic Process

While testing, we noticed that the rear right wheel wasn’t locking up as it should when the brake pedal was pressed. This observation indicated the issue might be within the ABS module, not the brake master cylinder. To investigate further, we utilized our high-end diagnostic scan tool to activate the valves inside the ABS module. This allowed us to assess its functionality in real-time. When we operated the valve, the brake pedal’s travel returned to normal, confirming the ABS module was the source of the problem.
The Solution: Replacing the ABS Module
With a clear diagnosis, we replaced the faulty ABS module and bled the brake system thoroughly. Using our advanced scan tool, we also bled the ABS system to ensure the entire braking system was functioning properly. After completing the repair, we conducted rigorous testing to confirm the issue was resolved. The result? The Mazda 3’s braking system was restored to perfect working order, making the vehicle safe and fully operational again.
